In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions to businesses, municipalities, and other potential clients.
Your primary objective will be to drive sales growth and expand our market presence in the rapidly growing EV charging industry.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential customers in various industries, including commercial real estate, retail, hospitality, and government sectors.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of leads through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and provide tailored solutions to meet the specific charging requirements of each client.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our EV charging solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and project management, to ensure seamless implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements with clients, while adhering to company policies and profitability targets.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to management, highlighting progress and areas for improvement.
- Experience with NYSERDA and/or governmental incentives/tax credits a plus
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in the renewable energy or technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of electric vehicles and EV charging infrastructure.
- Proven experience in managing a sales staff preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track leads, manage customer relationships, and generate reports.
